Maybe you can teach an old gal new tricks!  Re-signed up on Twitter...something i haven't used for a long time.
I think it is going to be very interesting....didn't know who to "follow" yet as haven't really had a lot of time to search.  I picked Canadian Geographic as my "hero" famous artist Robert Bateman was the keynote speaker at their big gala award presentation held recently.  So proud and inspired by his career.  Also saw an ad for a cruise with Mr Bateman which is only around $10,000 each. I guess i will have to start buying lottery tickets!
The grade five students at our local school are being treated to free 8 week art lessons courtesy of funding from Paint the Heartland Fine Art Show & Sale.  We have done this for about 13 years now.  It is a fundraiser and project of my library Board of Directors and other dedicated volunteers.  It is designed to broaden the artistic and cultural minds of our young people.

Well.. this is something I didn't expect to do!  I have not followed too many blogs but the one I did I found very interesting.
January at the library used to be a catch up month.  however, that is no longer the case.  We work harder and harder to keep up with the information highway where we direct traffic, offer "maps" and continue to keep our patrons updated on EVERYTHING every single day.
it is an awesome responsibility and I am honored to be part of it.
We are getting ready for a new project with our town, the recreation department and the Wellness and inclusive communities.
it seems daunting at first to get everything lined up but it will be worth it when it all comes together....it may even get us through the rest of the winter.
the program is called SMART goals and i will be writing more about it....
